For this project, the reflection that I found to be the most interesting was the Smart Grid Integration of Renewable Energy Systems. This source was my first introduction to what would become my main topic for this semester. The main reasons I found this source to be so interesting was due to the authors' approach to the idea of a scalable power system and smart grids as a puzzle and not a dead set result-based analysis of the topic. I have always been very intrigued by energy production and how civil engineering affects it. Clean energy is extremely important to take a focus on, and It felt right to start my research on it from a perspective of professionals and learning what they thought compared to my own views and options. Learning how those further in my field approach problems has become a great asset. Looking back at this, seeing how I would approach this differently now, but still probably end up at around the same place content-wise, has really gotten me thinking that I haven't changed that many of my views or opinions on the matter, but have changed the way I organize and use the content. This article, published by IEEE was the start of that change, and I am very thankful for it!
